7 Reasons Why People Train BJJ

1. They’re a fan of professional mixed martial arts and want to learn what their favorite fighters do during competition.

2. Practical self-defense.  It allows less athletic people to defend themselves against stronger, faster, more flexible, and heavier opponents because it emphasizes technique over brute strength.

3.) Knowing something others don’t gives you an advantage.

4.) It’s somewhat easy to learn.

5.) It’s great for getting in shape.  Who doesn’t want to have better endurance, flexibility, speed or coordination?!

6.) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a lot of fun!  You feel pretty good after sweeping someone 50+lbs heavier.

7.) People.  Meeting and training with people of different backgrounds can develop into lifetime friendships.
